Hello! We are Alex and Noah, the couple behind Cake Anatomy!

Wisconsin based, we grew up in Appleton without ever knowing each other. In 2018, we met on Tinder (Queue the judgement) and never slowed down. Three months later, we bought a house in Kaukauna and developed our love for each other through traveling. We planned our first trip, road tripping to Colorado and the mountains had our hearts. Loving the state’s outdoors so much, we booked another trip in October of the same year to climb the tallest mountain in Colorado, Mt Elbert. During a blizzard. Equip with tennis shoes. Naturally, this was the perfect place for Noah to propose.

We had planned the dream wedding for May 2020; in the forest, with a specific aesthetic and color scheme, a beautiful wedding gown, a “big fancy wedding cake”.. And covid hit. Hard. I was out of a job that I didn’t love, with nothing to fill my days with but field relatives questioning our wedding plans. They were long days and ultimately Noah suggested we elope on a mountain in Colorado and postpone our big celebration to September. Best decision ever!

A couple months later, newly married Noah and I pass by Cake Anatomy, our cake vender for our later celebration. A large sign in the window read “business for sale”. We inquired and slept on that information. I was already taking classes at the technical college to eventually open my own bakery, a dream that I thought was very distant. The business fell into our laps too perfectly to pass up, and 6 days later, the shop was officially ours!
